About our Inspection Facility

A premier experience begins with a great product, and the team members at our Elkhart A premier experience begins with a great product, and the team members at our Elkhart Inspection Facility play a crucial role in our operations. Located in Bristol and just minutes away from the RV/MH Hall of Fame, our Inspection Facility serves as a check point where new units are received from manufacturers to undergo inspection and rigorous testing before continuing on to General RV dealerships. 

SUMMARY

The Warranty Technician position is hands-on, providing mechanical and electrical diagnostics and service repairs for travel trailer, fifth-wheels, and motorhomes. These positions will interact with staff members and drivers.

• Walk the exterior and interior of each RV in the GTE Wash Bay for a visual inspection.
• Once a failure has been identified, use an iPad to take clear photos of the failure. Follow the process of at least one photo close up on the fail and at least one photo further away to show the location of the fail.
• Write a well written description of each failure. Be sure to including the location and reason for the failure.
• If the fail is minimal and can be solved with a quick repair, take the time to fix and collect billable hours (example: putty holes, small scratches, additional staple in trim).
• Assist other team members with their duties, including cleaning units.
