The Associate Creative Director is a key leadership role within the General RV Marketing department, responsible for spearheading the development and execution of creative copywriting initiatives that elevate our brand identity and effectively engage our target audience. As the visionary behind our brand's messaging, the Assistant Creative Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand narrative, driving customer loyalty, and ensuring consistency in our communication across all channels. Un-der the direction and partnership of the Creative Manager, This role requires a masterful combination of strategic thinking, exceptional copywriting skills, and the ability to inspire and lead a team of copy-writers, art directors and content creators to deliver compelling and impactful campaigns and branded content.

Responsibilities

  • Co-Lead and co-manage a diverse internal team of copywriters, art directors and content creators in conjunction with the Creative Manager for various projects that support the General RV business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Corporate Reputation, Parts & Service, Recruiting, and Learning and Development to develop innovative and captivating copywriting concepts and campaigns that effectively communicate our brand story, value propositions, and or product offerings.
  • Demonstrate exceptional proficiency in crafting persuasive and engaging copy for a variety of mediums, including but not limited to advertisements, social media content, blog posts, website copy, email campaigns, video scripts, and print collateral.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all communication channels, ensuring our messaging reflects our brand personality and resonates with our target audience.
  • Oversee day-to-day management and yearly reviews of various team members within the creative team in conjunction with the Creative Manager.
  • Inspiring a team of copywriters, art directors, and content creators by providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to enhance their skills that drive creative excellence.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and other key stakeholders to brainstorm and conceptualize compelling campaign ideas that support monthly sales, product launches, promotions, and brand awareness initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in copywriting, creative writing, marketing and/or advertising.
  • 7-10 years of experience leading creative teams, marketing campaigns including print, TV, web, retail, and social.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of creatives.
  • Quickly be able to gain a deep understanding of branding principles and the ability to maintain brand integrity across different marketing channels.
  • Have the ability and experience to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple deadline driven projects.
  • Experience representing a brand to external and internal audiences.
  • RV industry experience or camping experience not required, but is welcomed.
  • An online portfolio showcasing previous work and ability is required.

 Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Mac OSX, Microsoft office, Adobe knowledge is a plus
  • Proven ability and willingness to lead in a collaborative team environment and be responsive to the needs of a diverse community of stakeholders
  • Quick and creative thinker with demonstrated success in transforming broad ideas from a team brainstorm into clear, engaging, original campaign concepts (show us your portfolio!)
  • Highly organized individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet competing deadlines
